Would you please spare a few hours on our Work Bee Days to join together in cleaning up our trails and staging area. We have a long list of things that need to be done so please come and we all can be out on the trail enjoying a nice ride or something else in no time.
MANY HANDS MAKE FOR LIGHT WORK!
We NEED people with farm tractors to help Brush Hog or Rake our trail (we have a Brush Hog and a Landscape Rake for trail maintenance) we usually Brush Hog our trail several times a year.
Please contact us if you can do some of this work.
Would you like to volunteer to bring lunch to the work bee crew at one of the Work Bee Dates?
If your farm, stable or group would like to adopt a small section of trail for maintenance purposes please contact us and pick your section.
Also we keep track of Who & How many man hours of work WMTA members put in to maintain our trails and submit it to the park at the end of the year. The park rewards volunteers who work at the park at least 12 hours during a year by giving them an Annual Metropark pass at the start of the next year.
Report back to Work Bee committee any downed trees across the trail that need chain sawing and removal or other items of concern.
